Privacy Policy

LightQR: Fast QR Scanner — Effective August 11, 2026

Summary

LightQR does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Period.

Data Collection

LightQR collects zero data. The app:

Camera Access

LightQR requires camera access solely to scan QR codes. Camera data is processed entirely on-device using Apple's AVFoundation framework. No images or video are stored, recorded, or transmitted.

Clipboard

When you choose Copy for plain text, LightQR places the result on your device clipboard. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.

System Actions

LightQR performs actions only after you confirm them. Wi-Fi credentials are passed on-device to Apple's Network Extension framework, which displays the system join prompt. Verification-code setup data is handed directly to Apple Passwords. LightQR does not store or transmit these credentials.

Third-Party Services

LightQR uses zero third-party code. It is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks.

Children's Privacy

LightQR does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here.
